Smokey

Smokey lived a rough first 8 years roaming around our neighborhood all alone. Bouncing from house to house in search of food and love. Then he found us. He was a strong, brave, tough kitty who fought hard until the very end. He loved to catch mice and cuddle every person he met. Everyone he met fell in love with him. You couldn’t sit down without him being right there in your lap to head butt you with his purr as loud as it could go. He would always follow us around outside to make sure we were safe and we often called him “dog cat” because he acted so much like a dog. He loved to visit with and comfort my brother who has been sick and disabled for years. They were the best of buddies. No other cat in the world will ever compare to our Smokeums. He is already deeply deeply missed.
