Florence Ailish Eynon

Florence Ailish Eynon, born May 14, 2013, passed on April 19, 2021, from mediastinal lymphoma having caught more orange Chuck-It balls mid-flight in her life than could be counted. Florence, an Irish Setter, loved her Uncle Chip and stealing his Jet’s meat lover’s pizza when his back was turned almost as much as she loved those pricey orange balls. One of those rare dogs who learned to smile showing every tooth in her mouth, Florence shared her utter joy with every human that came to her door but only after raising a dangerous-sounding ruckus in great abandon. Unaware she wasn’t herself human, Florence made no bones about her expectation that you would understand the “words of her people” as well as she understood ours. Long-legged Florence was a skilled counter thief with an incredibly well-developed palate leading to many visits to the detested veterinarian office to retrieve non-food items. She lived by the theory that the best naps are taken lying on your back, preferably on Mum’s lap. Florence leaves behind her adoptive Mum Abigail; her Aunts Gia, Lori, Vika & Janet and Uncles Chip, Graham & Patrick who she played with every week for the last 5 years; her extra Aunts Emily, Tracy, JoAnne and Brenda who knew where the cookie stash was and gave perfect rubs; and Kiley who took her for hour-long playdates almost every day since July 2020. We are grateful to the veterinarians at Orchard Lake Animal Hospital whose compassion ensured that Florence escaped the pain.
