Coco Dede

  • Date of Birth: 09/17/2015
  • Date of Passing: 08/03/2022

*originally named Gretchen –> Gretchen Wieners –> Glenn Coco….. Coco Jimmy Dean Dede*

Coco is the greatest bean that never changed for anyone. She is everyone’s best friend whether they know it or not, or even know that she is whining from the upstairs window that she can’t meet them. She loves to be messy indoors and out and she saves her barks for when she is playing with her sisters and brothers that she looks up to. She came into the family after her grandmother passed and is going up to keep her company and talk about how much cancer really does suck. We love you bubby!

I loved her and Emmy’s love for each other! I loved when Dad would say “Incoming”, and she’d have her zoomies in the living room!

I’ve never met a happier dog. Even when she was sick she was so happy. She loved everyone and wasn’t afraid to show it. She made me smile every time I saw her but especially when she scarfed down her birthday cake. That was adorable.

I love how she would eat hamburgers but nicely leave the wrapper, knew how to open the trash without opposable thumbs, and had a real talent for finding the perfect crevices. Cutest family dog award.

I remember the day you brought home this alien we eventually came to know as Coco. May she rest in puppy dog heaven. Also was she actually born in 2015 cause that dog looked like 80.

Although I only met Coco a few times, those times spent together were nothing short of entertaining. Her carefree yet high-demand attitude made her the lovable queen we all knew her as and I know she's living it up with her grandma!

I have never seen a more perfect match between human and dog in terms of this perfect intuitive connection that existed between you two. It was so evident in the time we helped you pack your car for a road trip (it was filled to the point it probably should’ve been illegal) and in the midst of the chaos and knick knacks, Matt and I weren’t sure Coco would know where to go to sit comfortably. You assured us she knew exactly what to do, and sure enough…Coco jumped into your car without hesitation and curled up in a ball. Dogs don’t care what we look like, or what we’re going through, or how much stuff we pack into our car. They’re excited to just spend time with us, and while Coco was your entire life…you were hers too. That cliché quote about it being better to have loved and lost than never loved at all definitely applies to the bond you had with her, and we’re so glad to have witnessed it. A once-in-a-lifetime love that will continue as she watches over you and makes sure you don’t have salt packets for a meal.

“what’s that sound? where’s coco?” “COCO IS EATING MY SLIPPER” she was a funny one and I’ll never forget how hard she mad us laugh that night

I never got to personally meet Coco. However, I can recall more times than not where you told everybody at Kesem about your precious Coco and it left paw prints on our hearts. We will always carry the stories and memories with us. Coco knows you will do the same. Forever love from forever friends.

Coco was such a pure and spunky spirit! Even though she saved her barks for special occasions only, she always whined and wiggled when anyone paid her attention and it was the cutest thing. She fit so perfectly into your life, and you into hers. I know she is watching over you now, and *hopefully* encouraging you to drink water every now and then. I love you friend ❤️ -Patch

Coco was the roommate of the century. I will never forget when we left a nearly full box of publix cookies on the table and coco was inspired to eat them all and then proceed to have absolutely no type of adverse reaction. What a trooper. She put her whole chest into that heist.

Croc & Coco FOREVER!!!! Best duo there ever was. Coco was your soulmate and, for that alone, I love her. I remember when we went to grab Chick-fil-A with Sprinks one day and brought it up to your apartment to play games. You dropped your large lemonade on the balcony before even walking in #sadness and we walk in to find Coco waiting for you right in front of the door…her bestie was finally home to hang! She licked you everywhere bc she loves you (or maybe bc you were covered in lemonade). Either way, she will be missed dearly. I will miss the times when she would lay on the couch while we talked about crappy times or when she would play hide and seek (even though we could never find her). #Coco4Life XO, Giggles

Sweet coco, the smallest cinnamon bun there ever was. I love my granddaughter and I loved the family we made together in college. Sneaking coco into the dorms and hiding her under a blanket and sitting right next to each other as a guy from the building came to inspect or fix the AC?? I will forever cherish the times spent at your or my apartment, playing organ attack, watching dancin it’s on, playing mario kart, staying up until whatever time and enjoying the unpredictability of what bobo would do next. As much as bobo did love me as her favorite great/grandma, she loved you more than anything else and it was a gift to see.

You and Coco were two of my greatest friends during my year at FSU. You both gave me a tour around campus on my first day of class and we had numerous sleepovers at my apartment where you brought Coco’s giant bed and she would just sit there calmly and watch tv! She was the best dog and she was extremely loved. She will be missed and we will have her in our hearts forever!

Coco is truly the best bean. The sweetest little munchkin who never turned down an adventure but also loveddd her sleepy time. Who followed you everywhere and stuck by your side because she loved you so so much. My favorite thing was how she’d always find a way to snuggle with/near you, no matter how tight or weird the space was. And also how she loved that little window at your house - always watching and checking things out. I’ll miss that bean ❤️
