Stuart “Stu”

Our dearest Stuart I remember the day I brought you home like it was yesterday. You grew to rule our home and lives while holding our hearts in your paws. Over the years we’ve had to remove your claws from our pit bull’s face, rush our puppy to the vet because you almost killed the little guy, fight with family members when you had enough of their children and would lite them up, drove countless birds to The Pelican Man every time you ventured outside, of course the time I had to get your father to intervene when you slapped a mother black bear on the nose and she corned you, removing your claws out of daddy’s hand when he would point out your fat roll (you hated that game). No matter what faced you, you were always fearless which did get you in trouble and led to a few overnight stays in the ICU. You were our road trip buddy, our bed buddy, and our wake up alarm. You would always be waiting when we walked through the door. You would always check all the bags when we got home from shopping to verify that in one of those bags was your cat food. I could write a book about our adventures together. One of the hardest things I ever had to do was tell you that it was okay, and you needed to let go and cross Rainbow Bridge, as I gave you kisses and pets one final time you finally pushed me away and like everything else in your life you did it your way, and we vowed as long as you were not suffering that we would let cross your way at your time. We know GOD has his arms wrapped around you and you are safe and happy. One day as you are playing in heaven you will see us approaching the bridge and we will then be reunited. You were by our sides for 20 years and 2 months, but you will always be our boy! On 9/4/20 pieces of our hearts crossed that bridge with you! We miss you and love you very much Stu! Until we meet again buddy!
