Snickers

My sweet Snickers… with a heavy heart and many tears I write this to you. When you found me, my life changed forever… you showed me undying love and that life is just a big puddle waiting to be jumped in. Your soft, sable fur always offered me a sense of calm on a hard day… your kisses made my heart smile… your cuddles made my worries vanish. I never knew that such a little creature could bring so much joy to my simple life and teach me a lesson that each day is a new chance with a new outlook. Your spirit lives in me, and when you took your last breath a piece of me left with you. I know you are here with Sean and I… and you make your presence known to us each morning when I still hear your little paws shuffle to the back door and the cardinal that just wont leave our backyard. You are a shooting star – too good to be kept in this world. My heart is broken. My soul is lost. I never thought a bond between man and animal could be this strong, but you have always proven me wrong. These simple words cannot express the vacancy left inside of me that longs to hug you and pet your little noggin. You are forever loved, forever remembered and forever cherished in my heart. We will meet again! I long for the day to see you my sweet precious little pup. XOXO. we love and miss you every day, every minute.
