I will miss you my Sammie girl until I take my last breath. You taught me so much, you taught me what unconditional love really is. You loved us everyday you were with us, it didn’t matter if we were in a bad mood, you made us smile, if we were in sad mood, you made us smile, if we were in a good mood, you made us smile more. I already miss walking in the door and hearing that bigger than life bark of yours and you picking out a toy to bring to us but not letting us have it. I already miss the tons of hair and slobber that peppered the floor and carpet but most of all ,we will miss the soft kisses you gave every time we ask for one. If love could of cured your cancer you would be sitting beside me right this second but love wasn’t enough so we did what we could to make you as comfortable as we could and when you gave us the clues you were done fighting ,we did the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do and that was to let you go. You took a piece of our broken hearts with you but you left us with wonderful memories and the love you gave us and for that I am thankful. I hope one day in your honor I can rescue another dog like we did you, I think it’s the only way I can truly thank you for everything you brought to our family but it will take time to hand over my heart again but when I can, it wont be to replace you, it will be because of you that I can. Rest easy big girl, you fought a battle that couldn’t be won and you did it with grace. Love and miss you forever big girl.
