Sam

Sam was a rescue we picked up last year. He was older, and we never really found out how old he was. We, unfortunately, didn't find out more about his life before us. We do know the former owner was elderly and surrendered Sam to the shelter we picked him up at. Sam was definitely an old soul, but was surprisingly spry. He was extremely patient and gentle, which was welcome considering we have a child. He was protective and extremely loving. He would lick the crap out of you!!! Like that was him at his most ferocious, when he was licking your face. Lol. I mean he would put his entire body weight on ya! Sam was a part of our family for a little over a year, but we felt like he was with us longer. He will be missed. I'm missing him this morning for sure.
