Lexie

Lexie was my first love. From the moment I saw her I knew she was going to be my best gal. We had almost 13 years together. Lexie was one tough girl. She had been electrocuted when she was 5 years old. She survived; but her life wasn’t always easy after. You always knew when Lexie was at your house because no matter what she was always in charge. Lexie was loved by all who knew her. She was sweet, fierce, loyal, and lovable. Lexie was lucky enough to pass away peacefully at home, being held and knowing she wasn’t alone and that she was loved.

My sweet Lexie, it’s been 3 days since I’ve last seen you and I miss you tremendously. Our house feels so empty.

There’s an empty space where you used to lay, and a pain in my heart that won’t go away. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend. You were my faithful companion until the end. Now you’re roaming endless fields, forever free to run. Listening to the song of the wind beneath the golden sun. Meet me at the rainbow when the time is right. Run into my arms again, walk with me into the light.

    Until we meet again.

So very sorry for your loss. I have just posted our Bennys memorial, I read Lexi's and I see so many resemblances in the two paths they traveled, and passed on the same day. My husband and I are truly sorry for your loss.
