Goldie

I would like to share how I acquired this cat. Someone had actually put this beautiful cat out because he had fleas. Fleas are so easy to treat. (Sick people). Anywho he kept coming to my house and he had such a nice little spirit. I didnt want to give him to the humane society because they would have euthanized him. So I fed him hoping I could find a good home for him. I already had 2 cats at that time so I had no intentions of taking on a 3rd. So this went on for 8 months. I placed a pet house on the porch with blankets so he could have shelter and fed him food and water twice daily. I had already named him Goldie and in fact, I had mentioned him to the vet. I had already decided that if we moved he would come with us. Well that was put to the test. One night I was sleeping and I heard some dogs barking and it sounded really close. I jumped out of bed and said “OMG Goldie”. I ran to the door and there were 3 black dogs standing right in front of the porch. I quickly ran them away and Goldie came right out of his pet house and stood next to me. I stood there for a second and realized I could not leave him outside any more. I took him in that very moment and called the vet the next day. Followed by his appointment for his shots, he has been my cat for 11 years. He was my protector. I will forever love this beautiful cat. R.I.P. my angel.
