Fargo

    Fargo
    October 20, 2004 – January 19, 2019

Surrounded by his loving family, Fargo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 19th, 2019 at the age of 14 years.

Born in Hubbardston, Massachusetts, Fargo was adopted into his forever home at six months old by his Dads, Roy Yonkers and Jon Jayne.

Fargo spent his youth in Danbury, CT where he enjoyed doing activities with his family, including boating on Candlewood Lake, long car rides and traveling to Maine, and the Jersey Shore. He particularly liked his daily walks around the several neighborhoods he called home. Fargo had many human friends and was an expert at getting them to give him treats.

At 5 years old, Fargo moved to Wake Forest, North Carolina, where he loved going to the beach and spending time at Emerald Isle snoozing under an umbrella on his very own lounge chair. Fargo remained active in middle age, where he continued to travel up and down the Eastern Seaboard and taking daily walks on the golf course. When not chasing squirrels, he enjoyed quiet family time on the screened porch and dining al fresco.

When he was 9 years old, Fargo became a big brother when Joshua joined his family. Fargo and Josh quickly became BFF’s and were inseparable, doing everything together. Fargo taught his younger brother the ropes of being a good family member while Josh’s youth helped to keep Fargo young at heart.

In 2016, Fargo retired to Fort Myers, Florida where he got to experience a category 3 hurricane, alligators in his backyard, and spending time at his Dad’s dog spa, where he was quickly pulled out of retirement when he was named the Chief Canine Officer of Barks & Bubbles.

Fargo fought a long fight against heart disease and remained alert, happy and involved with his family until his very last day.

Fargo will be missed by his Dads and his brother, who feel very fortunate to have had him in their lives.
